Located in Western Quebec, the Val-d’Or mill is positioned in close proximity to many of Quebec’s major logging companies, a major source of pre-consumer recycled and recovered wood fiber. The facility produces multiple grades, thicknesses and sizes of particleboard as well as value-added melamine panels and has an annual production capacity of 226 million square feet (400 000 m³), ¾ inch basis.

ONE-STOP SHOP PROGRAM

Uniboard has created a One-Stop Shop Program to further enhance the client experience. We are leveraging the proximity of our Mont-Laurier and Val-d’Or production facilities to bring our customers greater access to each mill’s superior capabilities in one single step.  Distributors can combine loads from the two plants and customize their product orders to their respective particleboard, MDF and melamine needs, which minimizes overall shipping layers and fees. As the Mont-Laurier mill specializes in the production of MDF and the Val-d’Or mill in the manufacture of particleboard and thermofused melamine, this Program eliminates a facet in the distribution process and will make all Uniboard product lines more readily available in the market.
