                           Uniboard and the Town of Newmarket are thinking green!

Laval, Quebec, June 5, 2008 - Uniboard, one of North America's leading manufacturer of engineered wood products, today announced that its Nu-Green particleboard products have been selected to be used in the construction of Canada's greenest community - Newmarket's EcoLogic Green Homes.

Uniboard's Nu-Green particleboard, the greenest solution on the market, is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and will be used in kitchen applications throughout the EcoLogic Green Homes community being built in Newmarket.

Newmarket's EcoLogic subdivision will be the first all LEED Platinum residential development in Canada. These leading-edge and nationally-significant homes will result in a 25% reduction in household water draws and a 60% reduction in water discharge flows, solid waste, greenhouse gas production and energy consumption compared to conventional homes.

Recognized as a giant leap forward in sustainable development, the EcoLogic subdivision is expected to set the standard for green building solutions across Canada.

Uniboard's Nu-Green product:

• - has no urea formaldehyde added, no emission (less than 0.01ppm)
• - contains 100% recycled post-industrial or pre-consumer wood fiber, which saves trees and avoids landfill
• - Is FSC certified
• - is EPP (environmentally preferable product) certified
• - can also contribute to achieving up to six LEED credits (Leadership in Energy and Environment Design categories: Indoor Environmental Quality and Materials and Resources) an important consideration for professionals
• - comes in a variety of colors that make up Uniboard's Melamine collection
• - has M2 Grade ANSI (American National Standards Institute) moisture resistant glue
