James N. Hogg

President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Hogg graduated in 1995 from the Forestry and Wood-Processing Program at University of Life Sciences, in Vienna, which he completed with outstanding results, specialising in Business Economics and Accounting. He also attended University of Aberdeen, where he was receipient of the ERASMUS programme scholarship for excellence.   He participated in a post-graduate international program with University of Agricultural Sciences (Vienna), University of Economics (Vienna) and University of Nancy (France).

Mr. Hogg began his career in the Division for Accounting, Marketing and Business Economics of Forestry and Wood Industries teaching financial and cost accounting courses to undergraduate students as well as a research assistant.

As of 1998, he held positions at Jaakko Pöyry Consulting (UK), later JP Management Consulting Ltd., first as a Senior Analyst in the wood-based panels and surfaces team, then as a Principal Associate, he was a contributor to the Corporate Strategy Team regarding financial issues and management information systems. During his time at Jaakko Pöyry,  Mr. Hogg gained significant international experience in Europe, North America and Asia, working in no less than 30 countries.

With JP Management Consulting Ltd., as Managing Director, he was in charge of the London Office and a staff of 20 people, four business areas and annual sales of GBP 2.5 millions.

In early 2005, he joined Pfleiderer AG, working with the Chief Executive Officer on group level strategy and mergers and acquisitions.

In December 2005, Mr. Hogg assumed the position of Managing Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Uniboard Canada Inc with responsibilities of production management, technology and purchasing as well as a continued role in strategic planning.  In 2007, he also took on the role of Chief Operating Officer for Pergo Inc. in North America.

In February 2008, he was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Uniboard Canada Inc.

Christoph Schmitz, MBA, B.Com.

Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Schmitz holds a Masters Degree of Business Administration from Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, Canada and an Economics Degree from the Academy of Business Administration in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Mr. Schmitz began his career in Germany within the Mannesmann Group of companies where he spent 12 years from 1987 until 1999. After a graduate training program he acted as Project and Sales Manager and was subsequently appointed Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director of Indomag Steel Technology Ltd., a group subsidiary in New Delhi, India, where he served for 4 years.

In 1999, Mr. Schmitz joined Lurgi Lentjes Bischoff GmbH, Essen, Germany a subsidiary of MG Technologies, where he acted as Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Managing Director.

In 2000 Mr. Schmitz assumed the position of Chief Financial Officer and Member of the Board of Directors of Walter Construction Group Ltd. in Sydney, Australia, an international construction company with more than 4000 employees in 5 countries covering the Asia-Pacific Region.

In 2003, Mr. Schmitz acted as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Owner of Australian Homemade Pty Ltd, a retail chain with activities along the Eastern Seaboard of Australia. Operations were sold at the end of 2005.

Since December 2005, Mr. Schmitz is the Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer at Uniboard Canada Inc. In addition, he was appointed Executive Vice-President, Chief Financial Officer and Member of the Board of Pergo Inc. in May 2007.

Mr. Schmitz is also a Board Member and Vice-Chairman of the Canadian German Chamber of Commerce since June 2007.
